Our LVP Consulting team engaged in a week-long training course at Pine Manor Estates.

Spring truly represents a season of renewal. After a long, cold winter, nothing brightens our mood more than seeing early flowers bloom, hearing birds sing, and watching the grass turn green. Our outlook naturally shifts as the days lengthen and temperatures rise. Similarly, this time of year offers a perfect opportunity to refresh and grow our professional skill sets—especially at the scenic Pine Manor Estates.

Just last week, a group of our associates gathered to do exactly that: develop their skills, strengthen team bonds, and apply a “Practice Field” approach to testing those skills in a real business context.

Consulting is a demanding field that requires continuous learning and ongoing skill development throughout one’s career. At LVP Consulting, we embrace the idea of being “CEOs in Training,” dedicating focused internal time to build the skills necessary for career growth and leadership. This spring (2023), our team participated in a week-long training focused on Executive Communication Skills and Executive Reviews, covering essential topics such as public speaking, managing tough questions, creating world-class presentations, and delivering project updates to executive-level clients.

Our consultants followed the “Practice Field Concept” training process, centered on three core components:

  • deeply learning the topic and skill
  • practicing and demonstrating the skill through role plays and presentations
  • applying the skill directly to active projects in the field

Throughout this week, the team gathered at LVP’s dedicated training center nestled in beautiful Southern Illinois at Pine Manor Estates. Besides sharpening vital skills, the group strengthened personal connections and even enjoyed some well-deserved fun. Now, they are eager to bring their enhanced abilities back to client work.

At LVP, we take pride in living our values by investing in our people through targeted, internal skill-building programs that foster both professional growth and career advancement.
